Lay Flat 02: Meta - Now Available (And In the Mail) Local photographer and publisher Shane Lavalette has finally released the long awaited second edition of Lay Flat, Meta. Co-curated with guest editor Michael Bühler-Rose, with design by Katherine Hugues, this volume features images from various photographers whose work examines the lexicon photographic syntax.
Unlike the first volume (which was a small booklet with the equivalent of several large, unbound postcards), this one is a perfect bound, 8x10 size book (the first volume quickly sold out and a couple of enterprising buyers are trying to turn it around on eBay). No print on demand quality here, as this is a premium printed book. You can actually smell the ink on the page.
